another improvised recipe… dinner this evening:

chris’ low-carb turkey chili

ingredients:
water (a few cups)
ground turkey (from ONF)
2 cans black soy beans (from ONF)
1 large can cooked & peeled tomatoes (sliced)
1 can rotel chilis
1 bottle guiness stout
hatch chili powder (amount varies based on taste)
cumin powder (amount varies based on taste)
paprika (amount varies based on taste)
garlic cloves (several, sliced thickly)
3 stalks celery (chopped)
1 small white onion (chopped)
cilantro (and handful)
sea salt
black pepper
white pepper

brown the ground turkey in pot.
add water, garlic, canned soybeans (including the “juice”), add can of rotel, tomatos, onion, and celery.
add spices (adjust amounts to your flavor levels).
add 3/4 bottle of guiness. drink the rest.
simmer for awhile.
add fresh cilantro.
simmer longer. good chili should simmer for at least 2-3 hours.

serve, topped with chopped red onions (fresh), fresh cilantro, jicama, monterey jack and asiago cheeses, and sour cream.
