100 Things…
1. I never drank until I was 24.
2. I can count on one hand the number of times i’ve used any illicit substances. The first time was in order to get laid.
3. I can tell you what 5 of the 500 people in my graduating high school class are doing now. Three of them are on my livejournal (elabeth, michelle, jens)
4. I walked in 1995 with a degree in Chemical Engineering.
5. However, I never graduated. I still have 1 class to finish (Organic Chemistry 2).
6. I’ve been enrolled in Organic Chemistry 2 at least 13 times. Maybe 14.
7. I never plan to practice Chemical Engineering. I love working in education.
8. A few years ago, a woman ten years older than me told me that i was ‘the king of oral sex’.
9. I was engaged once.
10. The after she broke up with me, I was sleeping with someone else. Without any prior effort on my part.
11. High Blood Pressure and Depression runs in my family. I’ve been treating both for several years. I wouldn’t be alive today if I hadn’t gotten help.
12. I didn’t date until my second year of college.
13. My first girlfriend was half Thai. We dated for 2 1/2 years. She dumped me the day after my birthday.
14. I’ve been eating and cooking thai food for 11 years now.
15. I have 2 sisters (Misty, age 27, Lacey, age 21). Misty and I have the same birthday (Feb 25th), but she’s 3 years younger than me.
Lacey (who just had the baby daughter) was due on Feb. 25th.
16. My middle name is Shawn. Christopher Shawn and Misty Dawn. Cute isn’t it?
17. My grandmother called my chrissie-poo.
18. In my classes in high school, there were 4 chris’ in my classes. Some people called me “Topher”….they thought it got on my nerves. But honestly, I dig it.
19. I would do anything for any of my friends, or anyone that I know. Or even strangers.
20. I’ve held onto a black and white sharpy drawing of Artist’s Point that Michelle did back in 89 or 90.
21. I own over 14 pairs of converse hi-tops. All different colors.
22. I own over 2 dozen scarves (winter-type).
23. I own over a dozen different cardigan sweaters.
24. I have said “I love you” (and meant it) to four women in my life.
25. I spent my early childhood around my grandparents. I’d always go camping and fishing with them. My grandmother was my favorite person in the world.
When she died, part of me died too.
26. I never/rarely will pray. However, I will talk to my grandmother, as if she’s there with me. But only when alone. I like our private times together.
27. I went to a private catholic school from kindergarten through 9th grade. I was forced to go to mass at least once a week during school. I could probably count the number of times I have been to church on one hand from 1990 until today.
28. I realized long ago that a concept such as ‘God’ is something that humanity can never prove. It’s a complete and total fabrication, a concept made by man to make us feel not as alone in the Universe. I can’t believe things based on faith. After years of trying to decide if I believe or not, I just gave up. Not thinking about it relieved alot of stress in my life.
29. I made my first webpage in 1994.
30. The second thing i put online was a website for the band Jellyfish. It still exists, as does the listserv that I put together years ago.
31. Around 1995, I created a website listing guitar resources on the web. I got several thousand access a week.
32. At one point, when my websites were ran from the UA, 9 of the top 10 pages accessed were on my site. The #1 accessed one was www.uark.edu/
