Unique Fundraising: Masks and Guns?
Republican Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee is seriously considering a run for the presidency in 2008, telling supporters that he’ll finally decide after he leaves office in January. One hurdle: raising the money needed to fight in the primaries, a situation so difficult that he jokes about it. “I’ve got a map of 7-Elevens, a bunch of blue steel revolvers, and some ski masks,” he kids. “We’re going to go all over the country and raise money in a very unique way.”

i’m reading an autobiography by Abbie Hoffman. he wrote “Kids need to be educated to disrespect authority. Otherwise, democracy is a farce.”
Reading that made me put the book down. I picked it up, and re-read it. Then wrote it down.
Thinking on that… if it wasn’t for people questioning and disrespecting authority, there would have been no declaration of independence, civil rights or women’s rights movements, plus anything else in history that brought about change.
Questioning authority and the government and leaders in charge should be considered not just a right, but your DUTY, if and when the laws and actions of those in power do anything to take away those liberties.
