Just wanted to make note of GREAT customer service that I experienced yesterday.

On 4/28, I purchased a pair of Ecco Receptor Devil Ray shoes from The Walking Company in the Northwest Arkansas Mall.

Last week, I noticed that the stitching on one of the shoes above the toe came undone.

Yesterday, I went to The Walking Company, and showed them the shoes and asked if they’ve seen Ecco shoes come un-stitched in this short of time.

They hadn’t, and they sent me home with a brand new pair of t!hose shoes !

That’s great customer service !

I know I’ll be going back to shop there soon.  I found  a couple pairs of Pikolinos that I want to check out.

Whole Foods to acquire rival Wild Oats

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) — Natural-foods grocer Whole Foods Markets Inc. on Wednesday said that it agreed to acquire smaller rival Wild Oats Markets Inc. for about $565 million, beefing up its store base as it grapples with competition from larger conventional supermarkets.

Under the terms of the deal, Whole Foods said that it would pay $18.50 in cash for each share of Wild Oats stock. The offer is nearly an 18% premium on Wild Oats’ closing share price of $15.72 on Wednesday. Whole Foods also will assume $106 million in Wild Oats debt.

Aqua Teen followup

First, it seems that at least 5 of the Aqua Teen promotional pieces were snagged by people (other than the bomb squad), and are now on ebay.
