   music industry for their power-pop direction -- essentially a

   For their second album, Jellyfish toned down their image, yet
   their music remained just as grandiose and colorful.

   The beginning of the 90s brought a resurgence in Anglo-pop
   bands, and Jellyfish's debut, =Bellybutton=, was one of the
   best releases of that style. Highlights on this fine album
   are the Squeeze-influenced "Baby's Comin' Back," the hit
   single "The King Is Half-Undressed," and "I Wanna Stay
   Home," a beautiful pop ballad that draws its melodic and
   arrangement smarts from McCartney and Burt Bacharach. ~

   The All-Music Guide
   Jellyfish's second album is long on technique, stylistic
   flash, and hooks in the style of Queen, Badfinger, and the
   Beatles; unfortunately, very few of them stick. =Spilt Milk=
   sounds splendid while it's being played, while the hooks
   pile on top of each other, but the end result is slightly
   cold. Still, there are some pleasures here (particularly the
   single "The Ghost at Number One") that will make fans
