He adds that he's been spending a lot of time with the Black Crowes, adding vocals and extra drums to that band's current recording sessions . Recently, Sturmer completed work on an album by Sweet Pickle Salad -- his informal group with singer-keyboardist Roger Manning of Jellyfish, singer Chris Robinson and guitarist Mark Ford of the Crowes, and guitarist Craig Ross of Lenny Kravitz's band. ' 'I'm sure it'll be released some day. It's like Crosby, Stills & Nash meets Pink Floyd. Every song is like 14 minutes long with heavy jamming.''
