I started listening to Kara’s Flowers “The Fourth World” album (released 1997) yesterday, for the first time in A LONG time.
I loved this band when they came out…. they had GREAT vocals, instrumentation, and songs.
They opened for Reel Big Fish in 1997 when RBF played at JR’s Ballroom (Dickson Street Location, venue later became “Daves on Dickson”).
I was wondering what ever happened to KF. They were too good.
Turns out they turned into Maroon 5, who released the great album “Songs About Jane” in 2002.
Wow.
(Just listening to KF’s album again and one song “My Blue Ocean” is all about a girl named Jane.)
