While standing in line at the assessor’s office, I was flipping through the latest issue (August 2006) of Citiscapes Metro Monthly, and discovered that they had printed five photographs that I took at last year’s Fayetteville Arts Fest.
This would be really cool if I disregarded the following:
- They didn’t print a by-line, or mention of my name anywhere in the issue
- They did not ask permission for use of the photographs
- I never received compensation for these photographs
Now I need to talk to some other photographer friends, research my options, and decide what actions need to be taken.
I gave FDP permission to use some of these photos in their 2006 Strategic Plan, but not for any other publication or use.
