I was just handed a handbill on campus for a Free Seminar in Speed Reading.
You know, reading is like one of the few things that I can do where I’m not being rushed. It’s like being given the opportunity to listen to music at two to three times as fast. No thank you.

My experience with Speed Reading is passing the Bar Exam
on the first crach because of it.
The research on it by neuroscientists indicates it’s
a right-brain skill, while ordinary reading - snailing - is using
your left-brain and the skills you learned in 3rd grade.
You choose to use Speed Reading - it is not forced on you just
because you know it. Reading a novel on vacation or reading in
bed are for fun and do not require right-brain speed reading.
The most interesting teacher of Speed Reading - yes, I have
investigated them - is a guy in Manhattan - Joel Flax - who was
written up by the Wall Street Journal. His website is
speedlearning.org
Good luck.
