I finally got around to cooking the venison roast that Heather & Marshall hooked me up with.
I really didn’t have a clue what to do with it, other than traditional roast recipes, but after discussions with another friend, I decided to make it into kabobs on the grill.

The Oasis

I finally got to Eureka Springs early enough to eat at The Oasis.  They’re open daily for lunch until 2pm.   Ark-Mex food, with lots of vegetables, but not all vegetarian for those meat-eaters.

This is a book that I’ve had for several years.
It’s a pulp-paperback edition of George Orwell’s 1984, dated 1952 (or 1954, I forget).
