non-smoking campus ?

saw a guy standing outside my office door smoking a cigarette.

I reminded him that it’s a non-smoking campus now, and he said “yeah. i know, but they don’t enforce it.”

I said, “well, you never know.”, and he replied “yeah, I do know. they don’t enforce it. hehe”

so much for a “fresh” campus.

oh yeah. makes it even better when the guy is UA staff.

I’ve noticed that the smokers in ADSB seem to be abiding by the no smoking on campus policy a lot better than the no smoking within 20′ of an entrance policy.

I agree that the smokers will smoke, and that the campus will not enforce the new clean rules.
I saw several UoA staff members smoking at the loading dock of the Union.
I walked passed them and asked if this was an approved smoking area and they all laughed and said “Yeah, I guess it is now”
I guess its just normal to bend the rules??
What can you do?
How about some photos of violators, and post them on your site, that would get some attention…..
