so pho-cking good

Last night, we ate at Pho Saigon, where Red Palace, and Hunan Manor were previously located (on North College).
The food was incredible.
I had the Pho (P1), with everything.  The broth was very beefy and quite delicious.
Jill had the Bun (B2 or B3, I can’t remember), and it was very tasty as well.

Today I ate lunch at Pho Quyen (http://phoquyen.us/ - site not online yet), a new Vietnamese Souphouse on 6th street !
Jill and I both had the Pho.  It was really good.  Tried it with the flank, brisket, and meatball.

California Pizza Kitchen

For dinner on Monday (2008/07/14), we ate at California Pizza Kitchen.
Lettuce Wraps:  Minced chicken, wok-seared with Shiitake mushrooms, water chestnuts and green onions in a soy ginger sauce. Served on a bed of crispy rice noodles with a side of spicy chili-ginger sauce.

It looks like Wilma’s Restaurant (formerly at Drake Field) is moving into the building previously occupied by La Maison des Tartes.
I hope Wilma’s will be open on Saturday mornings. There’s been a need for a good weekend gathering place for the apres Farmers Market crowd, since the closing of Maison.

Pho !

I had to go back to Red Palace (menu).   I craved Pho.
So, Doug & I ran over there for lunch, and both ordered P1.
Pho Dac Biet:  Noodles soup with eye round steak, well done flank, brisket, soft tendon, white tripe & meat ball.  Comes served with bean sprouts, limes, jalapeños, and basil.   yes.
